“In preparation for the launch of patch 2.2.0, we will be shutting down the PTR today at approximately 11:00 a.m. PDT. At that time, you will no longer be able to log in to the PTR client, all PTR accounts will be reset, and the PTR Feedback and PTR Bug Reportforums will be marked as read-only.
Please note that any progress you made on the PTR will not transfer over to your Diablo III account.

We guess most of fans are expecting a host of new feaures brought by Diablo 3 items Patch 2.2.0, such as new treasure goblins, reworked rift maping and even a conversion to a new and much simpler file-type for Diablo 3 to run smoother on many PCs. The term ‘shortly’ could mean when the rollover occurs for Season 3 but that hasn’t been confirmed via a full announcement post like they have in the past with patches.
